摘要

Hypocycloidal drive, designed based on formation and engagement theory of the hypocycloid, is a new drive with great use value. In the article, hypocycloid's formation method, engagement theory, driving theory, and typical structure of the hypocycloidal drive are mainly discussed, and besides, a contrastive analysis of hypocycloid and epicycloid is made. The analyses indicates: Except certain advantages owned in actual cycloid drives, the hypocycloid drive is able to greatly improve driving carrying capacity and transmitted power, minish the volume of driving device, advance rigidity and shock resistance of output shaft, and realize the dynamic balance of input shaft which can be used in high-speed, heavy-loading, and high-power drive.
