摘要

In this paper, an important and practical problem, optimal design of the cam curve to control the residual vibration of the follower output for an indexing cam mechanism, is taken as the example and the effect of the degree of the uniform B-spline to describe the cam curve on the optimization performance is discussed. As a result, it is concluded that the best choice to the degree of the B-spline should be 5 to achieve the satisfactory performance for dynamical optimization of cam curves.
