The traditional simplified model of the vehicle turn does not consider the track slipping. In the fact, the tracked vehicle turn results from two tracks rotating at different speeds, therefore the slippage comes forth between the track and ground inevitably. In the article, Based on the theory of vehicle-ground mechanics, the transmission load of tracked vehicle turn is analyzed using the simplified model and the slipping model on the hard ground. The tow force, the brake force, the resistance moment, the radius and the angular velocity of the turn are computed contrastively. In the result, the turn resistance force of the inner track is less than that of the outer one. The turn resistance moment of the inner track is more than that of the outer one. According to The tow force, the brake force and the resistance moment, the values of the simplified model are more than those of the slipping model. Vehicle experiment indicates the slipping model tallies with the actual turn.
