The coupling with flexible laminated membrane coupling is one kind of flexible coupling which need not be lubricated. It consists of two half–coupling and a mid-bush. A kind of flexible part is formed by fixing some flexible laminated membrane coupling between two half-coupling. It is this new type of coupling that is used to connect driving shaft with driven shaft, transport torque by metallic flexible part, and compensate the misalignments between two shafts along three directions (axial, lateral and angular ). At the same time it plays a role of shock absorber and vibration isolation as well. Final quantity to compensate angular misalignments between two shafts is very finite because of original structure (generally, the maximum is 1.5°). In this paper, author brought in centripetal joint bearing according to the study on main function and assistant function of the coupling , made use of features in which there may be some relative rotations of angle between internal ring and external ring of the bearing, used the way of combining flexible body with mechanism, put forward a concept of “Joint Bearing Coupling with Flexible Laminated Membrane Coupling”, carried out researches on the mechanism of compensation by making a comparison between two kinds of couplings from a geometrical analytical angle, thereby making its quantity compensating angular misalignments between two shafts of coupling go up from 1.0°~1.5°to 3.0°~6.0°, and has realized breaking through in compensating angular misalignments between two shafts of the coupling. This new type of joint bearing coupling with flexible laminated membrane coupling has held a patent.
