In the measuring system based on multi-linear structured light, the sensor based on laser set array is apt to introduce errors to measurement because of unequal-space and un-parallelism of light stripes, and the errors are difficult to be eliminate. In order to compensate the errors, the mathematical models of the three primary errors were established and analyzed in detail, and a method of compensation for the errors was presented. The method utilizes two crossed accessorial linear light to produce a fixed reference point on the platform, and moves the sensor to make one of work light stripes cross the point accurately at two different positions respectively by minimizing their overlapped area, then records the sensor’s positions. The errors data can be calculate from these positions. These steps were repeated on every work light stripes. At last, according to the obtained errors data, the coordinates of 3D data are revised in terms of the mathematical models. An example is given to prove that the presented method is convenient and effective.
