The first generation of micro and mini-satellite, Myriade (100 to 200 kg) and PROTEUS (450 to 680 kg) are operational since respectively 2004 and 2001 but obsolescence are already appearing.For Myriade, CNES has decided in the short term, up to 2012, to treat these obsolescences in order to ensure a stabilised design of the platform and, in the long term, to prepare the technical bricks allowing to improve this product line through the increase of lifetime and payload capacity.For PROTEUS a CNES working group is in progress to propose the future of this product line.So our research and technology plan is oriented toward the development of new technologies or the improvement of existing ones with the objective to use them generically on platforms from 100kg up to 1000kg.The paper will present the status of these different R&T activities.
