Recently, two ANS summaries1,2appeared featuring a new approach to thesolution of the reactor kinetics equationsin plane geometry for highlyheterogeneous media. The conceptpresented was to recast the steady statehomogenous solution to the diffusionequation into a convenient formallowing for a straightforward treatmentof the heterogeneous medium. After aLaplace transform of the reactor kineticsequations and with only modestmodification, the steady state solutionbecomes the transform solution to beinverted. Transient results then followthrough the application of a numericalLaplace transform. The identicalapproach will now be applied to the onegroupreactor kinetics equations inheterogeneous cylindrical geometry.
