Measured and numerically predicted characteristics of upward and downward two-phase gas-particle flows are reported. The mathematical statement in the present work was based on the Eulerian approach used to predict transport processes in the gas and disperse phases. To predict the disperse-phase velocity components and squared particle-velocity fluctuations, the Derevich model was used. Turbulent characteristics of the gas phase were calculated by the LRN k-ε Nagano-Tagawa model modified to the case of flows with a disperse phase.
