Voltage Regulators specifications in computing are moving towards smaller outputvoltage, bigger output currents, faster load change during transient and smaller form factors.The following technologies are proposed in designs for high performance power supplies withreduced size and cost:? Coupled inductor technology improves system transient response with no penalty in efficiencyand dramatically reduces system size and cost.? MOSFET technology and packaging improves system efficiency and reduces overall systemsize and cost.Technologies are available and reference design data will be presented.
