Summary form only given. The further development of vacuummicrowave electronics encounters fundamental limitations caused by thenon-linear disgrouping effect of space charge fields in electron beamsand needs extraordinary scientific and technical solutions. Only inRussia investigations in the new field of microwave electronics based ontransverse grouping of homogeneous electron beam in circularly polarizedelectromagnetic fields of slow-wave structures and resonant cavities,were developed successfully. Experimental investigations were tightlycombined with computer analysis using three-dimensional digital models.New types of microwave devices with unique sets of parameters have beendesigned, experimentally tested and manufactured. The development ofthese microwave devices has been made possible by the closecollaboration of academic research at Moscow State University andindustrial research and development at the Russian industrial firmsISTOK and TORIV. The report includes the discussion of somenon-traditional devices
