摘要

In the design of a reservoir fully surfaced with asphalt mixture, the concept of basic design was established considering major features of this site such as existence of connection areas between asphalt facing and concrete structures. And a unique and rational stability evaluation flow of asphalt facing was developed focusing on the comparison between the static/dynamic deformation analytic results and material test results. These approaches are expected to contribute to give useful information for rational design of other reservoirs of the same type. By introducing Information Technology (IT) construction systems to large-scale earthworks comprising 6.7 million cubic meters of excavation and 4.5 million cubic meters of embankment, the construction work control and the progress control of working form of this site have been conducted successfully efficient in terms of manpower and time saving as well as improvement of quality such as accuracy of finishing elevation of surfaces of transition layers. In terms of operation of multiple IT construction systems, this case is considered to be quite rare, so it is hopeful that the introduced content in this paper would contribute to popularization of the IT construction systems.
