Management of Water Supply to Twin Cities - A Step by Step Approach

Uneven distribution of water resources and periodic droughts has forced water agencies to search for innovative sources of water supply. A combination of recycled storage water and natural waters from storage reservoirs should be worked out to have a uniform and firm supply of water for various purposes like irrigation, potable water, stability in ground water levels (etc) keeping the maldistribution of rainfall in view. The present study gives a general step-by-step approach for use of reused water and treatment required for reused water keeping the water problem of twin cities- Hyderabad and Secunderabad in view.
