NITROPYRROLYL DIHYDROPYRIDINE: A NEW DERRIVATIVE OF CALCIUM CHANNEL BLOCKER

Dihydropyridines are one of the most calcium channel blocker drugs that have been. used as a hypertensive agents. On the other hand it has been reported several other properties for these agents. The presence of electron acceptor group on the C- 4 substituent of pyridine ring has a positive effect on the biological activity. In order to prepare these analogs an condensation reaction perform for an aldehyde, a betaketoester, and ammonia or aminocrotonate. A new derivative of the title compounds were manufactured in this study. 20 analogs were chosen for the biological test.
