Volume forces in Roebel bars inside slots, forces at the boundary of the slot-a closer view on electromagnetic origin and mechanical consequences

The interaction between force distributions of magnetic origin and mechanical deformations is one of the most important applications in the design of electrical machines. An analytical and a numerical analysis describes the complex mechanical influence of material characteristics of which the Roebel bars are built.
