A Co-ordination Theory Approach for Developing A Tactical Management Support System

The proliferation of data within the separate functional areas of the organisation has provided a need for the tactical decision maker to be presented with structured and co-ordinated information based upon internal data The way that data is modelled and queried at the operational level of an organisation, will have a profound impact upon the accuracy and quality of the decision support information supplied to the tactical decision maker. This paper presents a new approach for co-ordinating business decisions by architecting a Coordinated Business Object Support System (CBOSS) in order to provide support for enhanced tactical decision making.
