Optinions on flower industry development of China in 21st century

Flower industry is promising and very important for Chinese people in 21st century. For promoting our flower industry in 21st century, the followings are actions to take. (1) Increase number of flower producers by government support in view of policy, funding and technical innovation. (2) Enhance technique fxtensions by direct and indirect guidance conducted through TV and radio broadcast, computer network, books, as well as on-the-spot guidance by technicians and experts, and by scientific and technological researches to guide the development of flower industry. (3) Activate breeding program of new cultivars in response to environmental conditions such as temperature and dary-length and in quality-related character such as color, flavor and form under each climate condition. (4) Promote distribution of flower commodity by controling the transportation conditions prooperly. (5) Utilize native germplasm resouces from existing or native flowers in China efficiently to develop new cultivars.
