Abstract: Wavelet image processing of Landsat images has been successfully used for surveillance of deforestation and crop detection. However, boundaries between classes or differentiation between similar crops remain difficult problems. High spatial resolution has ben successfully achieved by a number of diverse approaches. High spectral resolution, especially between homogeneous area, should similarly be achievable. Spatial resolution at boundaries and spectral resolution between homogeneous regions remain ongoing challenges and will be specifically addressed in this paper. !16
