Abstract Psychophysiological state of human-operator in many respects influences on his/her reliability since the state aggravation may lead to diminishment of work capacity, and to errors in tasks performance. The methodological approach to the study of space crew members errors caused by their psychophysiological state changes is considered in this paper. Among numerous factors affecting the psychophysiological state, we paid special attention to tensity of crew work-rest schedule because sleep-wake cycle disorders and high workload became bypical for the present stage of "Mir" station operation. The results of our investigation indicated statistical significance of interrelation between errors of crew members, their psychophysiological state and work-rest schedule tensity. The methods of collection and analysis of the data as well as the technique of the data as well as the technique of errors prediction are presented in the paper.
