~1H/~(13)C/~(29)Si triple resonance 3D NMR combined with pulse field gradient (PFG) techniques has been utilized for characterizing poly(dimethylsiloxane) (PDMS), MD_3M~H. The signals from ~1H-~(13)C-~(29)Si connectivities among ~1H atoms coupled to both ~(13)C and ~(29)Si at natural abundance have been selectively detected, which provide information for complete resonance assignments of MD_3M~H. The study showed that the considerable spectral dispersion in ~(29)Si NMR of siloxanes compared with the narrow ~1H and ~(13)C spectral ranges allows detailed examination of the structure of PDMS by the 3D ~1H/~(13)C/~(29)Si NMR correlation experiment.
