The Development Process for Wireless fixtures

摘要

A wireless fixture replaces the traditional wire-wraped wires with a PC board to route signals between ATE and the bed-of-nails interface to a board under test. Its' advantages are distribution, and the accommodation of fixture cirucitry. Although wireless fixtures for incircuit and functional test applicatins have been ocmmercially available, their usage has been hindered by the issues of economics, turnaround time, and ease of handling ECO's. Recent progress has bee nmade on cost reductions thrugh new deigns, manufacturing efficiencies, developemnt process improviements, and methods of handling ECO's, combining to add more value to the user fo bed-of-nails fixtures. This paper focuses on the design and procurement process of the ewireelss fixture and the debug/ECO process.
