The role of reliability methods in nuclear power plant ageing management

摘要

In the ageing and life management of nuclear power plants, several aspects have to be considered, such as safety, availability, costs, human factors and radiation proctection. reliability methods are needed to integrate the component specific analyses with the safety and economical aspects at the plant or system level. This paper discusses the use of reliability engineering methods in various phases of ageing analyses of nuclear power plants, and gives examples of applications.
