Petri nets for modeling timeliness

摘要

This is a short report on the usefulness of timed place/transition-type Petri nets in the field of timely (or responsive) systems. It is felt that there is a growing need for a graphical representation of all kinds of specific problems prior to solving them either analytically or via Monte Carlo simulation. Such a representation or modeling is shown to be possible systematically via the above Petri nets.
