Current emission facor models are insensitive to model vehicle activities like cruise, acceleration, deceleration, and idle, and instead are based on by average trip speed. Ongoing research efforts experience difficulties with: (1) incomplete data sets of emissions data and (2) lack of information of on-road operating parameters.
