pH-senitive liposomes containing n-isopropylacrylamide copolymers

Several studies have reported on the development of pH-sensitive liposomes as drug delivery systems. Since liposomes are internalized by cells mainly via the endocytic pathway, pH sensitization of liposomes is an attractive strategy to facilitate the delivery of membrane impermeable drugs in the cytoplasm before lysosomal enzymatic degradation occurs.
