The drying process is one of the most important factors for a continuous and uniform coating on a release liner film during the production of matrix type Transdermal Delivery System (TDS). This study refers to the drying proceure of a Nitroglycerin TDS in a single sided impinengement dryer with three different drying zones. The successful completion of the drying process is monitored by determining the amount of the solvents remaining in the final product.
