During the last decade a rising interest could be seen in transdermal therapy systems and still for the future the forecast is very promsing. The improvement of the patients compliance by applying a therapy system only once which will act for a couple of days is only one of the important arguments. Avoiding drug deactivation by digestive or liver enzymes, and constant rate of drug delivery are others. The applied drug concentrations are lower and resulting from this also the side effects are smaller.
