摘要

The intestinal small-peptide carrier is involved in the uptake of di-/tripeptides, cephalosporins, penicillins and ACE-inhibitors. Common features of these compounds are a free carboxylic acid group and a peptide bond. Previous studies have shown that the free carboxylic acid group is essential for transport. In contrast, little is known about the role of the peptide bond in respect to transprot or interaction.
