Composite failure criteria have been developed for dynamic analysis of composite structures subjected to mine blast loading conditions. The capability of utilizing the proposed progressive failure criteria within an explicit dynamic analysis codehas been successfully demonstrated by predicting the progression of delamination in a composite sandwich plate under blast loading. The extensive delamination predicted in the analysis matches test results well qualitatively.
