From near-nil to everyday life: speech technology based telecommunication services in Hungary

An overview is given about the development of speech technology based telecommunications services in Hungary during the last ten years. It combines the author's personal experience with analysis of the answers form a questionnaire, sent out to approximately 80 companies in Hungary. Examples of services developed with the participation of DTT TUB are also reported.
