Design of interpanel-pillar system in reptreat longwall mining

摘要

Good ground control is the most important element for successful longwall mining. This requries a complete understanding of the behavior of the surrounding rock strata. The Department of Mining Engineering, Kyushu University, in cooperative with domestic coal mines and the Coal Mining Research Center, Japan (CMRCJ), conducted research into an optimum design of interpanel-pillar in retreat longwall mining.
