摘要

This paper investigates the radar cross-section (RCS) of metallic plates with square or rectangular apertures. We determine the RCS of such metallic plates by using software based on the moment-method solution of the electric field integral equation (EFIE), and also using the Geometrical Theory of Diffraction (GTD). The RCS is computed as a function of the number, the size, and the shape of apertures, as well as the thickness of the plate. We compare the computed results with measurements made in an anechoic chamber.
