Neurolab, A Spacelab Mission Dedicated to Neuroscience Research

The extensive amount of neurobiological research that has been performed in the 1990's has earned the title "Decade of the Brain" by the President of the United States. The National Aeronautics and Space Administration, NASA, has dedicated a Spacelab Life Sciences mission, Neurolab, to contribute the unique environment of microgravity exclusively tot his study of neuroscience. Over the past two decades, NASA's efforts in the neurosciences have included extensive research directed at understanding neurovestibular and sensorimotor system function.
