Applications of Hydrogenated Amorphous Carbon Films

摘要

Hydrogenated amorphous carbon films are metastable structures and exhibit many diamond like properties. Thus have got many good applications like coating on cutting tools, coating on disc surface in magnetic recording media of higher density, abrasive and wear resistant coating in IR optics, application in medical field due to its wear resistance and bio-compatibility and above all thei rpotential use in the development of the field emission display devices.
