Using an equivalent feedback control of the residuals for faultdetection and identification

In this paper, the problem of fault detection and identificationis addressed. The problem is formulated as a control one. The faultsignal which is regarded as an input of the system is estimated by afeedback control law, which is designed to compensate the effect of thefault. A Kalman observer is used to estimate the part of the state whichis needed for the feedback control
