THE EVOLVING SPECTRUM OF THE TRANSPORT MODES

摘要

This article has analyzed characteristics and rules of the switching technology spectrum [1] and then the evolving spectrum of the transport modes has been proposed. Transport modes located in the spectrum such as multirate circuit switching,fast circuit switching and fast packet switching may be regarded as the development of the basic transport modes, both circuil switching and packet switching. The dynamic evolving process of the switching technology in fact is that of extension of the two basic techniques and reflects a strong rule. The evolving spectrum of the transport modes makes studying transport modes have the firmer theoretical fundamantals The spectrum can be used to evaluate status and properties of each transport mode.
