Future trends in insulation for large turbine-generators

摘要

Changes in insulation technology to accommodate new requirements are discussed. These include improved mica tapes and impregnation resins; increased use of automated taping machines; high-temperature-resistant dielectric materials for rotor and stator bracing, and insulating, components; improved stress grading paints/tapes; and increased use of environmentally safe materials.
