This study covers preliminary results of an ongoing data collection and analysis study ofevacuation situations in Finland. The aim of the study is to produce quantitative data from evacuationscenarios. The study continues until September 2010 and all the results will be presented in the finalreport to be published in autumn 2010. The analysed data can be used later in fire safety engineering andevacuation model validation. The qualitative aspects of evacuation events are also taken into account. Inthis paper, three example cases are represented in detail.
