In winter the indoor temperature and humidity cannot be satisfied in high-bay depot and moisture condensation exists in external corridor connected to the depot in a cigarette factory. Through site test and numerical analysis, it is deduced that two stock entrances at 10m height cause part of supply air bypassing to the connected external corridor from upper space of the high-bay depot, which results in both of the above problems. Then a retrofit scheme by adding two small chambers at each end of the corridor is proposed. In the chamber which is closer to the depot, perforated ceiling air supply is designed to resist the bypassing air. Further simulation result shows that the air flow between the high-bay depot and the corridor can be effectively cut off and the existing problems can be solved. The results can provide some references to similar air flow distribution design and retrofit.
