摘要

High volatile organic compounds (VOCs) concentrations after decoration have been observed frequently and they play a significant role in residents’ health. In this paper, we measured the VOC concentrations of a new residential unit in Beijing over the decoration process. We then simulated the VOC concentrations using a newly developed, single zone indoor air quality (IAQ) simulation program. In the simulation process, we took different renovation stages into consideration, thus the actual contribution of each emission source to the indoor VOC levels at different time was taken into account. Simulation results show reasonable agreement with those measured over the decoration period.
