摘要

The relationships between optical point spread function, focal plane array geometries and IRST performance in terms of Pd and FAR were investigated in the past. However, specific design algorithms for extreme cases, such as that of small hll-factor arrays, were not presented to date. In this report we present a new optical design algorithm which optimizes Pd and FAR performance in a specific IRST application. Performance predictions are compared to actual hardware tests.
