In this paper, the event-triggered adaptive fuzzy control design for a class of fractional-order nonlinear systems. First, fuzzy logic systems are used to approximate the unknown nonlinear functions in the control system. Then, under the unified framework of backstepping control design method and the property of fuzzy basis function, a new adaptive fuzzy controller is designed for the fractional-order strict-feedback system. Moreover, the fixed threshold strategy is designed to reduce the amount of communications further and the stability of the system is proved by fractional Lyapunov stability theory. Finally, the effectiveness of the control scheme is verified by simulation examples.
