摘要

In the present paper the phase composition and crystal structure of new mixed ferrites La1-xRxFeO3 (R = Pr, Nd, Gd) obtained by solid state reactions technique were investigated via laboratory and synchrotron X-ray powder diffraction techniques. It was established that all synthesized samples are crystallized in orthorhombic perovskite GdFeO3 type of structure. Unit cell parameters, coordinates and displacement parameters of atoms were obtained from the experimental X-ray diffraction patterns by full profile Rietveld refinement. The continuous solid solutions formation in the LaFeO3–RFeO3 systems (R = Pr, Nd, Gd) was proved by comparison of the unit cell dimensions of the mixed La1-xRxFeO3 ferrites with the reference data for the parent LaFeO3 and RFeO3 compounds. The crossover of lattice parameters of La1-xRxFeO3 solid solutions was established at certain compositions along with the formation of dimensionally tetragonal (pseudo-tetragonal) structures.
