摘要

A new method to assess voltage sags considering flexible alternating current transmission system (FACTS) devices is proposed in this paper. FACTS devices install in alternative current (AC) transmission power networks to enhance power transfer capability, and stability of the power system. Also, the FACTS devices can reduce power delivery costs. In some cases, the purpose of employing of the FACTS devices is reducing the voltage sag. In this paper, the voltage sags that occur due to faults have been investigated and the FACTS devices are modelled as current source. The proposed method can identify the AOV and assess the voltage sag in presence of FACTS devices. This assessment would be useful for providing accurate and efficient performance of voltage sag. The method is applied on IEEE 30-bus meshed system and the performance of voltage sag with and without presences of FACTS devices is compared.
