A system and a method for determining areas of vulnerability for instantaneous voltage drop test, and a medium recording a computer readable program for executing the method are provided to quickly calculate areas of vulnerability for various threshold voltage values by using only a quadric interpolation polynomial and a voltage drop formula. A system(100) for determining areas of vulnerability for instantaneous voltage drop test is composed of a system information reading unit(110) reading information of a power system(200); a vulnerable area deciding unit(120); and a result output unit(130) for outputting the decided vulnerable area result. The vulnerable area deciding unit calculates voltage of a target busbar corresponding to both end points of a faulted line by using the first voltage drop formula and computes voltage of the target busbar corresponding to a point between both end points if the voltage of the target busbar corresponding to both end points of a faulted line is higher than the threshold voltage. The first voltage drop formula indicates a voltage relation between a point of the faulted line in the power system and the target busbar where the voltage is changed due to a fault. The vulnerable area deciding unit derives a second voltage drop formula output by simplifying the first voltage drop formula, by using voltages of the target busbar corresponding to both end points of the faulted line and the point of the faulted line. And then, the vulnerable area deciding unit computes the voltage of the target busbar corresponding to the point of the faulted line by using the second voltage drop formula and determines the point of the faulted line corresponding to the voltage of the target busbar below the threshold voltage, as the area of vulnerability.
