Performance Evaluation of OBS WDM Core Node Using Queuing Theory

摘要

Optical Burst Switching seems to be promising technology in Wavelength Division Multiplexing networks. In this paper we study the performance of Optical Burst Switching wavelength Division Multiplexing core node using recently proposed analytical model that based on Queuing theory. The main parameters calculated are the time delay and blocking probability. The model used is simple, fast, and accurate and gives closed results to the model that used before.
