The WSNs network is comprises of various sensors and work towards accomplishment of a certain goal. In WSNs, nodes are working with limited battery power. In this paper, we have analyzed the effect of faulty vs non-faulty nodes in the performance of the network. In our experiment certain number of node are randomly faulted for a particular duration during simulation. Analysis of performance at different layers is evaluated based on various QoS parameters like throughput, PDR and average end-to-end delay. The performance of AODV routing protocol is computed in the network layer. Other OoS parameters is computed at the Application layer. The simulation study shows that in presence of faulty sensor nodes significantly affect network performance. The throughput is degraded by 8.6 % approximate in presence of faulty node when node number is 50. The average end to end average increased by 19%. The packet delivery ratio is degraded different values for different node density; this observed that average 6% less PDR is in case of faulty node.
