Wireless sensor network is a network of connected sensor devices that are used to monitor a physical state in order to further aid the control of that state, the main issues with WSNs is the energy consumption of the sensors and the routing efficiency between the nodes that communicate with each other, in this study, a new architecture for wireless sensor networks has been proposed, based on the Ant colony optimization algorithm and K-means clustering technique, which enables very efficient routing from the energy point of view, while being robust and with limited times, in Sensor networks of any size and without infrastructure requirements or special nodes, thus facilitating the implementation of WSNs and widely opening the range of possible applications. Our method proves to have better efficiency in terms of routing and energy consumption compared to the Leach clustering protocol and its variations such as Fuzzy-leach and other clustering schemes.
