摘要

This paper describes a design and analysis of a solar PV Powered based electric rickshaw (e-Rickshaw) battery charging system. The on-board solar module system collects the solar energy and stored in the battery bank through an efficient MPPT charge controller. The solar Photo Voltaic (PV) faced a variation in irradiance due to locational diversity and variation in cloud movement. This results in reduction of power extraction efficiency. Hence extraction of maximum power required an optimized and reliable MPPT arrangement. The working principle of MPPT is based on impedance matching of load and source. The DC-DC charge controller provides a regulated output voltage as per e-Rickshaw battery power requirement. This paper focuses on design and performance analysis of the various components, namely: PV panel, Battery, MPPT charge controller and Battery Management System (BMS) with variation of irradiance and PV cell temperature.
