In this paper,the fractal characteristics of the rumor spreading are studied by the perspective of time series constructed with the influence of rumor spreading.The values of the Hurst exponent calculated through rescaled range analysis indicate that the time series of rumor spreading are fractal with long-range dependence and self-similarity.The visual method is used to convert the time series into a complex network. The scale-free and small-world nature of the network further verify that the time series of rumor spread has fractal characteristics. These conclusions will help scholars to study the spread of rumor from a new perspective and provide ideas for the governance of rumor.
