Modelización. Validación. Ruido urbano por tráfico vehicular. A fundamental component for assessing citizen welfare is the acoustic intensity. The modeling of vehicular traffic related to the sound intensity for socioeconomic sectors in a city like Guayaquil, is limited to critical prototype sectors of relative territorial surface, which is due to costs and conflicts of territorial distribution of mobility. In the first stage of this investigation, models were estimated for four prototype sectors of Guayaquil, which in order to extend them territorially were validated to apply them to a larger urban context. The research addressed the validation of these models in similar sectors of Guayaquil, for which, through teams, citizen perception and interviews with key actors in the community, around 5,000 records were collected. For the four selected sectors, parameters of vehicular traffic and urban sound intensity were determined, which were evaluated with the results of the first stage investigated. Statistical and probabilistic methods were used to analyze the four variables that generated the models, the variables traffic, acoustic intensity, citizen perception by survey and interview and the vehicle density model with environmental acoustic intensity were correlated. The correlations determined indicators that validated the models with levels of acceptability that varied between 78% to 99%, as well as evidence that the two sites are statistically relevant to the same population. The variables were evaluated with several methodologies, determining that the models are potentially applicable to large sectors of Guayaquil, as well as, estimating indicators for planning and territorial planning.
